The Kona doesn’t really lend itself to this sort of use.
I’d be looking at a Renault Kangoo ZEV with a ramp. This is a very popular motability adapted vehicle.
The car is supposed to make your life easier. If it’s a pain in the backside to get your scooter in there it’s not doing that.

Re: Frunk/Froot tray
My dealer told me to remove mine as well until I showed them my TüV approval document. Since then they’ve been fine as effectively it’s aftermarket type-approved in Germany/ Austria and while we’re not in Europe anymore the former legislation still applies and it gives equivalency to all type approv...

Re: ChargeMyHyundai
All new chargers must accept contactless payment and all existing chargers have to be converted by the end of 2022. So I don’t see much point in signing up to ANOTHER RFID card provider unless there is a financial benefit and, as far as I can see, there isn’t. I’m on Polar and I find in my area and ...

Re: Cruise control not working after 4 software updates
Clearly, they have caused the issue and they’re fixing it. That’s not unreasonable. Assuming they have provided you with a Kona Electric loan car then other than the inconvenience of having to take your car to the dealer you’re not financially worse off. If they have provided you with an ICE car the...

Re: Frunk/Froot tray
Nice. I have the Frunk.at unit and there is no doubt it’s crazy expensive for what it is. Your solution is really neat and very inexpensive.
Good job!

Re: Audio Interuption
I had this until I turned all the traffic, speed limit, speed camera alerts off. Any time it sounds an alert, it silences the radio. Even if it just checks for a new traffic update, it silences the audio. It’s a right pain. Also check you’re not running Waze or a 3rd party navigation application on ...

Re: Music issues
Sadly, they haven’t teamed with anyone at Krell except their marketing department. Exactly the same system we get as Krell is sold in the US as Infinity. Sorry if you thought you were getting something genuinely better.
And yes, as far as I can tell, you will need to rename the tracks.

Re: Challenges with public fast chargers
Electric Highway have been "interesting" in my experience......but with one exception have always managed to get some charge. Otherwise haven't had problem getting a fast charge. The biggest issue is that the Kona will only pull 11Kw/H from a Type 2 connection and so those rated at 22 Kw/...

Re: Challenges with public fast chargers
I find the Electric Highway chargers fine. I’ve had no issues when I’ve used them. Likewise, the Pod Point chargers at Lidl are really good, as are the Polar fast chargers.
