Re: Descending steep hills
I use the regen paddles a lot to slow the car down on inclines. It probably saves wear on discs but I wonder if it is wearing something else out instead. lol

Re: New Kona 1.0 advance auto
I think the first reading of 114 miles left would be based on the previous mpg that was being attained by the previous driver. Best to fill up and see how it does with your own driving style.

Re: Recuperation shift paddle conditions not met
I have also noticed that the paddle function doesn't operate when the speed limit button has been activated.

Daylight Running Lights
I thought the daylight running lights (DRL) had gone out on my Kona Hybrid for some reason. With the engine running I checked and they weren't on. It seems that they are only on when the other light settings are selected. I checked on the forums for help and discovered that they are on when the hand...

Re: New 2024 Kona.
I have one on order - same version - but am seriously considering cancelling it. There appears to be major concerns with the Smart Cruise Control, which unfortunately I did not test on the test drive. The Smart Cruise Control slows unexpectedly and does not hold the speed. Re: Recuperation shift paddle conditions not met
Yes my hybrid is doing this too. Seems to have started with the onset of the colder weather. Works OK after a few miles.

Re: 2022 Kona hybrid Battery Booster
Looks like no one knows. I wouldn't even go there to tamper with the electrics on my Hybrid. If it packs in I will get the AA to come and fix it.

Re: Used 2022 Kona
I got a Hybrid, 64 mpg around town. Wouldn't want a full EV because of the much publicised charging point nightmare. I saw a stranded EV owner kicking hell out of a non functioning charge point a few years ago and that helped me make my mind up.

Re: Smart Cruise Control
I have a 2023 model and it does seem a bit erratic at times but I don't mind as the cruise control is very simple to use compared to my previous car.

Re: Max MPG?
65 mpg mainly town driving and generally flat area. I use the paddle at the one blue light setting and also use the other settings when going down any incline and when coming up to junctions and traffic lights, etc. I do think this improves the mpg a little, but not a great deal.
