Re: Problem with TomTom and Android Auto

Thanks Jeffers. I did think about that but was hoping for a quicker and easier solution...will give it a go anyway.

Problem with TomTom and Android Auto

I'm hoping someone can help me solve a problem with the use of TomTom Go loaded on my phone. I've been using it successfully for about 10 months now and it has proved faultless. (It is also a considerable improvement over the standard nav system on the Kona.) I have been using a good quality USB dat...

Re: Kona Ultimate Electric 2024 - White Vs Grey

When I first saw our used white Kona I wasn't too keen. Years ago I had a white car which was difficult to keep clean, and swore I would never have another. However, the spec was good so we decided to proceed. Since then it has grown on me, and with the 'free' paint treatment as part of the deal, ke...

Re: New Kona Owner

Good point, dB. Personally I soon got used to the bings and bongs and they no longer trouble me. My dashcam does similar things, much to the amusement of any passengers I may be carrying. Besides, all these are as nothing if the threat of forcing manufacturers to include mandatory speed limiters eve...

Re: Auto box

Yes, the autobox on my '22 plate 1.6 hybrid seems to be fine, although it does sometimes seem to hold on to a lower gear for too long. Other than that it has been faultless. Overall long term consumption is currently showing as 56.5 mpg but a recent brim-to-brim figure produced 59.4. No complaints t...

Re: New Kona Owner

I too have found the various chimes and dings annoying, but have yet to find anything in settings with which to silence them without turning off things I do need. And a local speed limit sign is always displayed as 47 mph. Work that one outI Perhaps the most annoying thing of all was the door mirror...

Re: Yet another newbie

Resize_20240403_205637_7309.jpg Just had a quick look, now that it has stopped raining. The photo shows my screen after Display/Guidance. I don't have 'Route Options' at any stage, despite looking at everything available. It is such a basic facility these days, so I'm wondering if the dealership ca...

Re: Yet another newbie

Thanks Jeffers, much appreciated. I should be able to have a look at those screens tomorow, and will report back!

Re: Yet another newbie

Have now looked at the satnav again. I do get 'Route Avoid Options' at the bottom of the screen, but what I am still trying to find is the usual fastest/shortest/econ type of choices that I am used to on every other type of satnav I have used in the past. I have searched for these countless times bu...

Re: Yet another newbie

Great, thanks Jeffers. Will have a look at that next time I'm out in it.
