Anyone have any news regarding this issue?
1 year later and it still happens on mine.

Something similar recently happened to my 2018 Kona. Check engine light with error code relating to RCV valve. Took my car in for a service and diagnosis, then upon leaving my car went into limp mode in the service centre driveway!
We could not get it to turn on again at all. They’ve told me the ECU is damaged. It’s been sent away for diagnosis and hopefully a repair.

Brand new one was quoted at over $3k AUD and 6-8 week wait on the part.

I have a 1.6L Turbo and just hit 130,000 km. Had never missed a beat until now.

I have a 2023 Kona Ultimate and also experienced a power loss twice although for only a few seconds. It's not happened for a few months now and the technician's can't find a fault. Also twice on starting the engine I was unable to drive or turn off the engine and had to wait until the battery power ran out then restart the engine. Again no explanation from the technician's.
