My car was main dealer serviced in November 24 so one would assume its software is all up to date. Any clue appreciated as I don’t really want to be changing the car because of something so basic yet quite frankly irritating. I forgive all I said about VAG

I recently purchased a 23 plate Kona Hybrid Ultimate, last of the old shape and was horrified to find no postcode search option on the satnav. After 50 years in the motor trade I can’t believe that someone has omitted something so fundamental? After nearly 60 years of driving everything from Fords to Ferraris this has come as a major disappointment as some locations I’ve wanted don’t have street names let alone house numbers which are also absent from the satnav installed. I don’t want to have to use Google maps when I’m driving as that app managed to try and send me up a one way street the wrong way in Swindon recently.

Hi Dudley.
I feel for your frustration. However, I think it might be possible.
I have a 2024 Kona so the software may be different. But you may like to try the following.
First I tried the Bluelink app. In that, I just put a postcode into the search box, it showed me to the correct location and offered to send that to the vehicle.
On the car, I called up the map, then touched the address/search box at the bottom centre of the screen. That takes me to a Destination screen. Top right on that is a "Search" button. I select that and type the postcode into the search bar (it seems to work with a space in the middle, or not). The text box on the left says not match found, but, if I tap the "OK" button I get shown the postcode location on the map with the option of saving it or navigating to it.
I hope that helps you.
