Made my own Frunk/Froot tray this morning. Not the Euro 200 plus from Frunk.at but just £12.99. A seed tray from my local Garden Center (£5.99), some bolts from B&Q "Pick and Mix" (£2.50) and some Velcro from Amazon £4.50). I chose to attach the tray using two bolts with lock nuts - more secure than just Velcro. Just make sure the bolts are short enough not to foul the Electric Motor. Not bad I thought plus retains the motor cover.

Nice. I have the Frunk.at unit and there is no doubt it’s crazy expensive for what it is. Your solution is really neat and very inexpensive.

Good job!

When I went fo my Sat Nav update today after the Health Check the dealer remarked that I should remove "the tray that I had fitted" above the motor. They seemed oblivious to the concept of a Frunk/Froot tray!!

My dealer told me to remove mine as well until I showed them my TüV approval document. Since then they’ve been fine as effectively it’s aftermarket type-approved in Germany/ Austria and while we’re not in Europe anymore the former legislation still applies and it gives equivalency to all type approval bodies in the EU in the UK. So it’s a legitimate modification.

The only suggestion I would make on yours is to buy the rubber mount kit so you can direct mount it on top of the inverter like the plastic cover so you can just easily swap them out when you visit the dealer.
