The HUD will mirror the information that you can see on the Speedo display, it won't show information from navigation systems found on Android auto or apple car play (or Google maps or Waze) but it will show navigation from the on board TomTom navigation system.

You probably have the answer now or sold the car!! but on the top lhs of Sat Nav screen is a compass which you can set the direction NSEW. Just click compass to show the way you are going.

Hello,
We’ve recently ordered a Premium SE and obviously will have much to learn.
In the meanwhile, my TomTom downloads updates via WiFi and wonder if one is able to either update the software this way or via a PC and thumb drive?

The map updates are done yearly with a service , but you have to ask.(don't think that is tomtom system)
Traffic updates from tomtom are done via wifi.
