New to this forum and apologies if this topic has been spoken about.
Iβm v close to buying a 18 plate Kona 1.0T GDi blue premium
Cracking looking car and a gd price but I do 18000 Miles a year
I had a diesel that gave me average 55mpg.
Qu 1, How is the mpg at a steady speed? Can u get close to 50mpg
Qu 2, how much does it cost to fill up.
Thanks in advance.

I had a diesel before and with I had stayed with it , I certainly
notice the difference in visting petrol station 3 times a month instead of two.
Although few thousand cheaper to buy petrol than diesel
you get about 420 miles per tank and cost of filling up about 50 ish.
It is a nice car if small boot but I would stick with diesel if you do 1800.

Hi, I have had my 1.0 Premium for 9 months, I also do 18k a year through varied trips around South Wales, expect around 40mpg, if you go on longer journeys and are willing to travel at 65mph then you may push 45/50.Balfieh wrote: βFri Jan 04, 2019 6:40 pm Evening

Hope this helps... Although probably to late if you've bought one already.
Hi
New here
I got my Kona at the end of Jan
Just been up to Yorkshire from Devon and back on a few days holiday.
The run up and back was around 600 miles and we returned 44 mpg.
Driving included motorway and A roads so a good mix.
I am disappointed with the performance but this Kona is a move away from diesel which I have been driving in various forms for the last 15 years and it was a choice we knew we had to make thanks to our government.

On Good Friday we under took a two hour drive and for the first time I broke the 50mpg barrier. The screen said 51.9 average mpg.

After 2,000 miles my 1.0 litre Premium kona has averaged 35mpg. On a long motorway journey at 70 to 75 mph I get around 40 mpg. I have a very light right foot and have tried everything to get better economy, without success. I am very disappointed, as is a friend who also bought a l.0 litre Premium at the same time as me and gets similar mpg. This is way off Hyundai's "real world" claims.

Have you tried resetting the figures to ZERO? This will start the figures afresh and not include bad figures from the past when the engine was tight and you were getting used to the car.woodysteel wrote: βWed May 01, 2019 6:03 pm After 2,000 miles my 1.0 litre Premium kona has averaged 35mpg.
