Picked up my new KONA hybrid on Monday and this morning it was completely dead. I expect I did something silly AA are on their way - is there a piece of kit I could get that would get me started if I have this problem again - I have no idea what I did or didn’t do the car did not give any indication that it was running Bluelink didn’t report anything. Concerned that I have made a big mistake changing from my Peugeot 3008 which I loved

Bad luck, it took 20,000 miles and 15 months for the 12v battery on my EV to fail. I did not realise there is an issue with the Hybrid.

Anyway the answer is a device like this, gets rid of the jump leads, these devices do not need a donor vehicle and can get the car started in minutes. They are small enough to keep in the car, but not in the boot as when the 12v battery fails you can not get in the boot!

I used one about a dozen times over Christmas and New Year whilst waiting for the warranty claim To be approved and then the battery to get to the dealer.
