When will our new vehicle arrive?

Good morning and a Happy Easter to all,

We ordered a new Kona SE Premiunm a few weeks ago, prior to the lockdown etc with the, then, anticipated delivery date at the end of May. In view of the lockdown, does anyone know if Hyundai are building new cars (do they have a factory in UK or Europe?).

Difficult question, I appreciate

Stay safe everyone and keep fit.

Hi

new to forum and ordered Premium SE mid March, The dealer has informed me it is on the high seas and due to dock 20 May. I know there is a factory in Europe but from dealer reference to sea and 4 weeks away guess its coming from Korea

Hi there hope you are fit and well regarding your Kona order I also ordered the same car on 14 March with a delivery date of the 18 May I haven heard a peep from the dealer because of the lock down so not sure where I stand at the moment however I can tell you that there is a plant in ch republic that produce Konas for the euro market so can’t see why the cars should now be coming from Korea I believe that is why the waiting list is much shorter.

If you have since heard from your dealer I would be great full for any info thanks.

I also ordered Kona Electric is March and was contacted by the Garage over the weekend and again was informed that the ship is due to arrive UK 20th May. However as there have been very few deliveries from the docks I was told to potentially expect the car about the 2nd week of June, due to the backlog !

Work on the same time table ie 2nd week in June maybe I haven’t even been contacted so great when you have to get your info off someone else can’t even get hold of my garage let’s hope it’s worth the wait.

Our dealer hasn't contacted us - yet.
Perhaps we should ask Boris?

Hi, Newby here.
We ordered our Hybrid SE Premium in mid February with an initial delivery of YESTERDAY 8th May
Our dealer was very quick to confirm a delay to delivery when lockdown was announced to 'the end of May' We haven't heard anything since.
Perhaps there will be more news next week, after Boris eases things a little and the dealerships get their heads around Socially Distanced Handovers.

I also got the impression my car was coming from Korea, does anyone know which Konas are built in Europe?

I also thought my car Kona was being produced in Europe, but the Garage confirmed that the car is being made in Korea and as per a previous post it is due to come into theUK 20th May. Given the spare time in my hands due to lockdown, I gave myself the task of trying to find a ship from Korea carrying vehicles that gets into the UK on the 20th. Success.......Morning Pride ,Tilbury , 20th May I have been tracking the ships progress over the last few days🧐 Google the ship and there are various apps that show you the position of the ship , destination etc. ...
What else is there to do😷

Email received from dealer today stating that a hand over date would be very early in June.
Just waiting for telephone confirmation and specifics, but it looks like things are on the move
