I like my new Kona very much but find the Lane Keep Assist to be a long way from a safety feature. (I hope it's LKA. Still confused about the difference between LFA and LKA)
I need my awareness mostly outside the vehicle, not continually being interrupted by steering wheel adjustments, lane LCD displays or beeps.
The system seems to be based on the centre of the lane being the safest placement. Maybe useful on motorways etc., but not when a lorry is coming towards me on a normal road, partly over the centre line. I will move to the edge of my side of the road.
I do not need something trying to override my decision or distract me. These are my decisions as a driver.
So, this 'feature' has to be turned off each time I start the car.
Really?

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll see if it makes a significant difference.
In the meantime, my observation is that this system is helpful as long as the person coming in the other direction has it too:-)
