Hi all,
I am thinking of having dash cams fitted to my new 2024 Kona hybrid and wondered if any other owner has already done this and what company did they use.
I have searched online and there are several companies offering this service, but I am a bit twitchy and probably very fussy about using unknown companies.
I have seen an advert on Google from AVR mobile fitters who supply and fit various makes of cameras and their prices seem reasonable, has anyone used this company.
Looked at halfords who are a little more expensive, but don't like the idea of paying extra for timed fitting slots, (Rather like the supermarkets do for grocery deliveries)
Nextbase do a fitting service but had no available fitters in my area, but suggested I buy the cameras and then they would try to accomodate me.
Any comments or reccomendations appreciated,
Thinking of having front and rear dash cams fitted to my Kona
Hi
I got my local Hyundai dealer to put in front and rear dash cams, we'll worth it. Lexus NextBase 1080p Front and Rear Integrated Dash Cam was the model that they installed. Really pleased with it so far, cant recall the price but it was a special deal at the time.
Hope this helps

Hi
I am a new member, bought a Hyundai Kona Ultimate plus lux pack, White 19 inch wheels, had the paint protection and das cams fitted by the dealer (Murley Warwick)
The cameras are Kenwood, so far so good. I also registered with Hyundai Charge and so far no problem. Was in Wales last week and used an Instavolt Changing point it was quick 20 to 86% in 40 minutes. Bit expensive.

I just fitted my own from Amazon, Red Tiger is the brand and they seem okay so far with 4K front and 1080p rear. Routing the cables was a pain until I remembered that I have some really long zip ties and taped the cable for the rear camera to one of those to route it behind the trim panels.
As for charging I found some "Zest" chargers in the City centre multi story, easy contactless payment and the 50Kw charger peaked at 52Kw, The Bluelink app wouldn't update in the shopping centre so I downloaded the Zest app to keep an eye on the charging session to avoid idling fees. 27 - 90% in just over an hour for £27. I didn't think that was terrible at £0.67/KWh iirc.
In normal use I have the benefit of free level 1 charging at work so I will vary rarely use fast chargers but I'm on a week off and have a 150 mile trip tomorrow.
