Front Parking Sensors

Post by AEB-UK » Thu Dec 05, 2019 11:12 am

Anyone know if the front parking sensors can be set to "On" as a default?
Currently, they are only activated after reverse gear is selected, and then they stay on.
If you haven't reversed, and then you later drive into a confined space, you might not realise the sensors aren't activated until too late.

I'd rather they be on all the time, and be able to switch them off when I want to.

I can switch mine on by pressing the button in the centre console...but you do have to remember to do it.

Haven't found a way to have them set as on by default.

Hi I would of thought there must be a way of turning them on by default it seems crazy not to allow you to do that because as you say you can very easy forget and with the charging port being in the front it makes it even more of a need I’d of thought they would of considered that but then again?

My company Golf's sensors come on below 5mph. Sometimes disconcerting when they beep while you are crawling past a badly parked car for instance. You can switch them off, but the next time you switch on the ignition they are working again, probably like all good safety features should
