Hi Phil3747
Are you certain that a Postcode search is no longer possible?
On my other half's Volvo CrapNav (it really is quite poor) the opening screen offer a search for City or Postcode, though it isn't obvious at first sight.
Since we often use postcodes to search for routes, if the new version doesn't allow this I'm not going to update it.

Thanks for the prompt reply AEB-UK...I just went and double-checked and I was wrong...but you just have to press a couple more buttons as it does it as a secondary search rather than a primary search...see pics below...

Pic 1 - The "Search" homescreen
Pic 2 - The result screen having typed in a postcode - no matches but "Press Ok" on screen (NOT STEERING WHEEL) to continue
Pic 3 - It then finds the postcode match...tap on postcode....
Pic 4 - Postcode displayed on map.

So it does do it, but just not as straight-forward as it could be

I've downloaded and installed the above update to Standard Class Gen5 and can report virtually no difference from the previous version whatsoever.
The layout, functions and graphics are all the same and the only difference I have found is that the previously displayed incorrect speed of 60mph on the satnav on a road close to home has now been amended to 40mph !!
Has anyone else noticed any other differences ??

(I was hoping for improved graphics/colours on the Satnav display as I dislike the 4 display options of White, Light Beige, Dark Beige or Black !!)

My other half updated my nav last week.
I can report that my previously reported road speed anomaly is now resolved - instead of the screen showing 29, 39, 59 etc., the speeds now show 30, 40 and so on as it should. :-)

I have now noticed that I have a speed anomaly ...When the digital display on my dashboard shows 30mph, the satnav display shows 28mph and this continues as the vehicle speed increases :( :( .
Does anyone else have the same problem ??

I've been having a problem where the satnav has been telling me the speed limit is 80mph in a 30 zone !!! Clearly the speed doesn't exist in the UK so they have updated the satnav with the latest version. Hopefully that will fix the issue but not holding my breath. I use the apple CarPlay navigation which is a lot better

I was just scrolling through this thread and spotted your query from Jan - so perhaps I am too late in replying!

The reason for this is that the digital display is the car speedo which has a margin of error, allowing for differences in tyre wear/pressure etc.

The satnav is a more accurate speed, although this can be a bit less accurate on steep hills.

In roadworks I always use the satnav speed, which means that usually I can pass much of the other traffic, legally.
