Sailing

Apologies if Im being dumb but i cannot find anything about this in the Kona manual.
I have just purchased a Kona Mild Hybrid and a couple of times the Sailing Icon has appeared on the dash screen. Im assuming this is something to do with coasting as i wasnt accelerating at the time, however my question/s are ;
When in sailing mode is the car being powered by the electric motor ? If it isnt, is it slowing the car and isnt that dangerous ? If it is what speed does it keep it at ?
