I have a new model Kona EV. When driving on a narrow road I want to "park" the wing mirrors to help prevent potential damage.
When driving the park button appears not to work but works fine when stationary.
Temporary wing mirror parking while driving makes perfect sense. Is there a way to do this on the new model EV ? Thanks for any ideas.
Kona EV folding mirrors
Hi georgemorrison.
I also find this a bit frustrating. But, I find that the mirrors will fold in while moving. It is just that I need to be moving very slowly. I do not know what the speed limit is for this to work but on my car I would estimate that it is around 5 mph.
By the way, by the "park button" I assume you mean the round button on the door, inside the mirror movement adjustment ring. The actual P (park) button on the gear stem I would never try touching unless the car were stationary.
I hope that helps.

Re oldmike
Thanks for that. Yes I was talking about the central button on the wing mirror control. I'll try at low speed.
This could been another daft "safety" feature.
The problem is when a wide vehicle is approaching you don't necessarily want to stop.

It seems that they will only fold below about 8 mph. Someone must have designed this into the software. Anyone ever worked out how to change this ?
