New Kona Owner

Greetings from Vancouver Island BC. We are enjoying our New Kona N Line. I was delightfully surprised after owning a Kia Optima SXL Turbo for 7 years. It was a primo car, with every extra you could dream of. However, it was very low in profile and in spite of its stellar performance, it was not a great "snow" vehicle and we had many sad encounters with snow drifts and slippery roads. Enter the Kona: I firstly was amazed to discover the Bose sound system was superior to the Harmon Kardon. The Kona is better insulated and the fidelity was great. I worried about having less power after the Kia Turbo. Forget that. The Kona is very snappy and acceleration is almost equal to the Kia, perhaps due to the Kona being a lighter car. Seats are amazingly comfortable, not quilted leather, but ergonomically correct. All in all we are quite pleased with our choice. Consumer's mag only gives the Kona a 64% evaluation, which I thought was pretty unkind of them. Perhaps they have to rate the Kona overall, which would include the entry level models. This could have dragged the N Line down, but as it stands by itself, it rates much higher than 64% in my unpolished opinion.
